Pro- Abortion Hillary

Schizophrenia? Cognitive Dissonance? Neither does justice to the latest bizarre ad from the Clinton Campaign

By Luis Zaffirini
160208-clinton-vidHillary Clinton’s campaign debuted a video online today titled “I Believe.”

As inconceivable as this is, the new video opens with a man addressing his unborn child: “Hi, little one. It’s me. It’s your dad. You are not born yet…I can’t wait to meet you.” The video then transitions into a montage of several people addressing their children with various terms of endearment.

In one spot we hear Mrs. Clinton’s voice, saying she believes in an America “where we don’t leave anyone out or anyone behind.”
This video is meant to be showcase the aspirations that some of Clinton’s supporters have for the future of this country.

The campaign Facebook page adds the following description to the video: “As parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, or siblings, we aren’t just thinking about our own futures—we’re thinking about the kind of future we want the next generations to come into.”

And then, out of the blue, at the 2:19 marker in the video, a woman says: “I believe in an America where you will be able to make decisions about your body because it belongs to you.” This obviously refers to the legality of abortion. However, the video shows two smiling babies while this statement is being made.

Between that imagery and the opening line being addressed to an unborn child, the cognitive dissonance is nearly unbearable.
But this is the world Hillary Clinton inhabits. While debating a ban on the brutal practice of partial-birth abortion in 2003, she actually said: “…[M]y great hope is that abortion becomes rarer and rarer”; and “…I want the record to be very clear that I value every single life and every single person…”

Actions speak louder than words. Then-Senator Clinton voted against the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003. In fact, throughout her career in the U.S. Senate, she had a consistent 100% score from NARAL Pro-Choice America.

Hillary Clinton has never supported any limitation of abortion, despite how she verbally dances around this fact. If I were addressing the next generation of Americans, I would tell them to be scared because they might have no future at all if they happen not yet to be born.
I, and most Americans, cannot believe in a future America where whether you are born or not determines the amount of legal protections your life receives.
Did I mention that the ad ends with the same dad it began with saying, “I love you and I can’t wait to meet you in a few months”?
