Have you ever heard of Limbo? It was a great movie. It is a great theological debate. But in Illinois, it's where the Parental Notice Act of 1995 was consigned. Why Limbo? Well, the ACLU and Judge Dan Riley of the Cook County Circuit Court consigned it there.
In 1995, the Parental Notice Act was signed into law with huge bipartisan support. Hmmmmm. Why then have there been 50,000 abortions on pregnant minors in Illinois since 1995? This includes almost 5,000 abortions on girls almost 14 yrs of age and younger. Illinois is the only state in the Midwest that does not have a law requiring parental notification or consent prior to an abortion. This has allowed more than 55,000 abortions to be performed on non-residents in Illinois since 1995, including an unknown number of out-of-state minors.
You think illegal aliens crossing our borders is a problem? Compare the numbers. Remember for every abortion, there is a mother, father, grandparent, who are victims too. Why so much media concentration on illegal immigration into our country? Believe me, I'm right with them. If you do not have a Rule of Law that is enforced, then you have no Rule of Law at all. Anything goes. Just like Catholicism, where you cannot be cafeteria in your approach, so too our country either has a law, or it doesn't. And the same should also apply to the state of Illinois. Either we have a Parental Notice Act, or we don't. What we don't need in all these cases is limbo.
The ACLU and Judge Dan Riley of the Cook County Circuit Court have consigned the Illinois Parental Notice Act to legal limbo. Where's the outcry? Have you seen any letters to the editor lately? Follow the dollar. Is it in the best interest of government bureaucracies to reduce teen pregnancy? Is it in the best interest of parents to speak up for their children? What say you?

Personhood Now!!!
Vote yes if you live in Colorado!!
Yes on Amendment 62!!
Just some thoughts on the Personhood Amendment.I think it's a gimmick. So do many solid, long time pro-life leaders. Personhood lost by a nearly 3 - 1 margin in colorado, bringing down good pro-life candidates, Bob Schaffer & Marilyn Musgrave. No one should put an initiative on a ballot without enough funding to defend it. I think we should concentrate our meager $ and all our efforts on electing good pro-life candidates, who will vote to stem the tide and change the law.
