Final Exit Network

The book Final Exit, written by Derrick Humphrey, was the first how to book on killing yourself, that achieved New York Times status as a best seller in the 1980's. We've come a long way baby. Now we have the Final Exit Network. Yes, that's the same network we blogged about several weeks ago. The very same network that was going to "guide" a young man from Chicago, suffering from a debilitating, but not fatal disease to assisted suicide. They assisted, but were foiled by the police. However, this encounter has given rise to a great deal of publicity about the Final Exit Network.

The Final Exit Network is similar to Jack Kevorkian's work. There really isn't much difference, except perhaps the Network is more organized. It also has more members. The Network can be compared to Dignitas in Switzerland.

We need to be aware of this organization and its' real goal, which is the legalization of physician assisted suicide.

Final Exit Network could not be more different from Kevorkian except in the eyes of those who see it that way.

Kevorkian actually had a machine which he brought to kill people with.

The Network only brings information, compassion, comfort and advice.

It is very easy blog away with criticism when you have nothing to to offer. What would the writer do if his loved one were afflicted with ALS, or Parkinson's, in great pain which no drug could relieve and was begging to die? Tell them that this was what God intended?

an answer to this would enlightning.
