Here’s One Thing Hillary Clinton is Guaranteed to Do to Keep Abortion Legal for Decades if Elected
That’s a power that pro-abortion Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton would like to get her hands on.
Clinton’s campaign website published a piece earlier this month warning supporters of the “terrifying” effects these decisions could have in the hands of the wrong president.
Indeed, it would be “terrifying” for unborn babies if Clinton is elected president. Her radical abortion policies passed onto through appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court could mean huge setbacks for the rights of unborn babies in America.
Clinton supports complete, unrestricted abortion through all nine months of pregnancy, and the abortion industry believes she will work to expand abortion if elected. Clinton’s extreme abortion stance is out of touch with most Americans.
In a Sept. 20 interview with CBS’ Face the Nation moderator John Dickerson, Hillary Clinton revealed that she wouldn’t support a federal limit on abortion “at any state of pregnancy” in the name of a “woman’s right to choose.”
If Clinton were allowed to impose these extreme positions through appointees to the U.S. Supreme Court, many of the pro-life advancements passed in recent years could be put in jeopardy – including late-term and partial-birth abortion bans, informed consent laws, sex-based abortion bans, abortion facility regulations and more.
However, with a pro-life president, there is hope of protections being restored for unborn babies – something that Clinton’s campaign acknowledged.
“Justice [Antonin] Scalia has long called for overturning Roe … Just one more conservative justice on the bench, and he could get his wish,” according to Clinton’s website. “And many—including Carly Fiorina, Marco Rubio, and Ben Carson—would overturn Roe to make that happen.”
Rubio recently called Roe v. Wade “constitutionally flawed,” while Carson took flak for saying he wants the radical abortion ruling to be overturned. Other Republican presidential candidates have made similar remarks against the ruling that’s responsible for more than 57 million unborn babies’ deaths.
Currently, the U.S. Supreme Court is split between liberal and conservative justices. Justice Anthony Kennedy is a moderate whose opinions often sway the court in one direction or the other.
A major abortion case currently is before the high court. In November, the court agreed to consider a pro-life Texas law responsible for closing abortion clinics, LifeNews previously reported.
The legislation, House Bill 2 (HB2), requires abortion facilities to meet the same safety standards of other Ambulatory Surgical Centers in the state, ensures that abortionists have admitting privileges at a local hospital, and bans painful late abortions on fully formed babies.
