Horrible

scandal-abortion-scene

‘Scandal’ promotes Planned Parenthood, sets abortion scene to ‘Silent Night’

“Scandal” is one of ABC’s hottest shows. The show revolves around “fixer” Olivia Pope (played by actress Kerry Washington, who publicly supports Planned Parenthood), and her illicit and tumultuous relationship with the president, Fitzgerald “Fitz” Grant. On last night’s winter finale, we find out that Pope is pregnant when we watch her undergo an abortion, smiling as the procedure goes on. Before the abortion, a man is executed, setting a likely unintentional parallel. To make it all even more sickening, the entire scene was set to “Silent Night.”

A stomach-churning monologue also accompanies the grim scene:
A pressure point, soft tissue, an illness, an antidote to greatness. You think you’re better off with people who rely on you, depend on you, but you’re wrong, because you will inevitably end up needing them, which makes you weak, pliable. Family doesn’t complete you. It destroys you.
But the show wasn’t finished yet. The winter finale ends with Pope sitting down with a glass of wine at her Christmas tree, and “Ave Maria” plays. The show’s producers chose songs which glorify the birth of Jesus Christ to accompany an abortion scene – and this is something that is being heralded by most mainstream media outlets as brave and revolutionary.
On top of that sickening scene, “Scandal” did some serious shilling for Planned Parenthood. Mellie Grant is the president’s ex-wife, and now a senator. And though she laments that she is a Republican, Grant filibusters a bill that could have potentially cut funding to Planned Parenthood.
By making that money discretionary, you give the people in this room the power to say, ‘You know what? We’re a little over budget this year. How about we don’t give that little ladies’ organization the full amount they’re asking for?’ So you don’t. And then, next year, you give them even less, and even less the year after that, and you keep chipping away at their budget until, before you know it, Planned Parenthood no longer exists.
The show’s female vice president, Susan Ross, also stepped in to defend Planned Parenthood, and repeated one of their favorite talking points.
Now, I’m not up here to ask you about abortions which, as you know, only makes up 3 percent of all Planned Parenthood business … let’s talk about gonorrhea!
Of course, Planned Parenthood was very pleased with the episode. They were thrilled that a character had an abortion, and thrilled to get some publicity, stating:
Shonda Rhimes used her platform to tell the world that if Planned Parenthood lost funding for contraception counseling, STI testing, cancer screenings, and safe, legal abortion — millions of people would suffer. We applaud Shonda Rhimes tonight — and every Thursday night — for proving that when women are telling our stories, the world will pause and watch. We just hope those in Congress — and throughout the nation — who are steadfast on rolling the clock back on reproductive health care access are taking note.
Right, Planned Parenthood is all about health care. Their own annual reports show that their business is abortion, not health care, and furthermore, they’re vastly outnumbered by comprehensive health care clinics that provide the health care services that Planned Parenthood won’t.

Health care at Planned Parenthood has plummeted under Cecile Richards, with cancer screenings, pap smears, breast exams, and prenatal care all dropping lower and lower. Abortion, meanwhile, in higher numbers each year, even though Planned Parenthood is seeing fewer patients than ever before. And millions of women would not suffer — only a small handful of women are served by Planned Parenthood. But no pro-abortion activist is ever going to admit that, because they know full well that the American people, including American women, would not support funding an organization whose primary business is abortion.
So the health care lie is repeated over and over again, complete with the 3% number that Cecile Richards herself admitted was not true before Congress (when she agreed that abortion makes up 86% of their non-governmental revenue), and which their own annual numbers disprove completely.

But Shonda Rhimes (pictured), the creator of “Scandal” and an extreme supporter of abortion, would never mention that on “Scandal,” would she? And of course, an abortion would be no big deal. Pope’s abortion seems rather sanitized and gentle. She isn’t in pain, and even smiles as her preborn baby is killed. Too bad most women don’t have such pleasant experiences as their babies are cruelly ripped apart.
Overall, this was nothing more than a twisted piece of abortion propaganda, and it’s sickening that this is what passes for entertainment in our world today.
