Planned Barrenhood

This blog was prompted by a conversation I recently had with a relative. Imagine my surprise when I heard her say, that Planned Parenthood only dealt with family planning services. This really forced me to stop and think. How many other people are deluded with this same misconception?

My relative has a masters degree in education and is an upper income bracket earner. She is highly intelligent and very well read (major media). Although her pro-life views have some limits, I certainly thought that she would be better versed on Planned Parenthood. For such an intelligent and well educated person to believe that Planned Parenthood deals only with family planning measures, when they are the largest abortion provider in the nation, is a testament to the success of the mainstream media, in their marginalization of the pro-life movement.

Let's face facts here. Everyone in the pro-life movement knows what Planned Parenthood is doing. Why haven't we been able to get that information out to the general public? Two thoughts come to mind.  One is the major media cover up, which has marginalized pro-lifers as cranks and fanatics, leaving many intelligent people to write us off. Successful media propaganda can fool even the most erudite and well educated person, and has.

My second thought, and probably the most significant, is why has the pro-life movement message failed to show the average educated person, that we are a credible movement  Against a modern media that has painted pro-lifers as still living in the middle ages, what can we do to counter this image?   Would love to hear your comments ........

Same-sex unions vs End of Civilization cont ...

The fabric of ancient civilizations, such as Greece and Rome, had certain foundations upon which those civilizations were built. As we see from history, a gradual erosion of those foundations, ultimately preempted their decline. Many great empires have risen and fallen over history. To determine the causes of their demise we must study history thoroughly. When we do, we ultimately find the seeds of destruction that were already germinating within the fabric of those civilizations before they fell.  Each one, no matter how advanced governmentally or philosophically, had overlooked certain elements of behavior, which left a void that threatened the survival of those nations.  For example, empires such as ancient Greece and Rome as well as many others, apparently had no particular grievance against certain sexual deviancies.  Subsequently, there were no laws to either prohibit or promote those behaviors, or any need to protect behaviors which reflected the natural law. Only the ancient Hebrews still held fast to laws regarding every aspect of human behavior, in which Christianity followed.  Thus emerged the Judeo-Christian ethic, upon which our nation was founded.

Our county’s government sought to knit as tight a fabric as possible, governing all aspects of human rights and behaviors, as to insure its’ survival.  That fabric, combined the savvy of certain ancient cultures in their governmental and philosophical knowledge, along with the moral code of the Judeo-Christian ethic.  These elements knitted together to form the tight fabric of our Constitution and our Bill of Rights.  Within that Constitution, the Judeo-Christian moral code and belief, underwrote all  other human ideas of justice and equality for all.  This Constitution of our land, did not seek to rewrite the natural law or the moral codes of the Judeo-Christian beliefs, but rather to make them the bedrock of all considerations put forth by that constitution.

Now, with the idea of marriage, one of the fundamental elements of our society being redefined by our judicial system, that moral code is being written off. Thus the very bedrock of our civilization, so aptly defended by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution of these United States, is now being threatened.  As with the Roe v. Wade decision of 1973, once again, Judge Walker has now launched an all-out attack against our form of government, which never intended for the Judicial System to be a legislative body. So, already, the seeds of destruction are evident when the will of the people, defended in our Constitution, is ignored and trampled on by judicial activism.

Will same-sex marriage then, be the end of our civilization as we know it? Of course it will. Unlike the ancient Greeks and Romans, our civilization was founded upon the moral underpinnings of the natural law, an aspect which those previous civilizations overlooked, leading to their downfall.  We all know that when a once Christian Europe began embracing human ideologies, against those of the Judeo-Christian ethic, that this was the beginnings of the downfall of its’ civilization.  A once mighty and powerful Europe is now a thing of the past, and great European nations are now mere shadows of what they once were.

Make no mistake then, that same-sex unions will be the death knell of our civilization as it once existed. The redefinition of marriage to include alternate lifestyles, will change the entire complexion of our civilization by promoting certain sexual desires over the Judeo-Christian ethic, which once underwrote that civilization. If same-sex marriage becomes legitimate, churches across the land will be forced to perform gay marriages or face being accused of denying the civil rights of these individuals. Imagine the repercussions of this. This is no small matter.  Marriage and family will be a completely amorphous institution with no definite character or nature.  Since marriage and family life are the seedbed of future generations, what types of fruit will such an unclassifiable structure of our society, without a definite character or nature produce?  No amorphous institution or entity can remain so for long.  It will ultimately dissolve into the vaporous void from whence it came.  When the institution of marriage dissolves, our civilization will follow.

Gay Marriage vs Civilization

When Fr. Paul Marx, founder of Human Life International was asked what he felt would be the effects of "same-sex unions" , he answered, "When they do that, it's the end". He was specifically referring to the end of Judeo-Christian civilization, whose values have always formed the basis of American common life. Judeo-Christian civilization has been the basis of modern Western society for 2000 years now. If this civilization falls, all civilization falls with it. The institution of marriage has been one of the most fundamental foundations of that civilization. When we try to change the substance of any foundation, we naturally weaken it.

In 2009, 52% of Californians voted to endorse Proposition 8, which ratified the constitutional protection of marriage, as being between a man and a woman. Californians had struck a victory for Judeo-Christian civilization, with their vote against homosexual extremists, who would completely rewrite the laws of nature, to bring Judeo-Christian civilization to and end. When that civilization ends, all civilization as know it will end.

This week a single California judge disregarded the will of 7 million voters, by lifting the "ban" on gay marriage. In an act of judicial tyranny, another basic fundamental principle of our own American society has been attacked, with Judge Vaughn Walker imposing his own personal homosexual activist opinion over the will of the people.

So how does gay marriage bring civilization to an end? All society is naturally undermined when we publicly endorse any alternative to one of the basic foundations of that society. The institution of marriage existed before the state. The state is simply there to protect the institution of marriage.  It is not there to redefine or adjudicate it, or certainly reshape it.   To be cont ...

Sarah Knew Best

Death panels made the news, but only one major media figure reported these facts.   Bill Gates gave credibility to Sarah Palin in his recent announcement that the only way to curve the rising cost of health care is to establish panels that will ration care, aka. death panels.  The media went into a feeding frenzy when Sarah Palin announced that Obama's Health Care Bill would lead to death panels.  The winds of time change, and now the media is fawning over Bill Gates and his promotion of death panels as cost containment measures.

Question - Why is the media interviewing billionaire Bill Gates on the health care plan?  Answer - Because they are in total agreement with his philosophy.  Question - Why are people still reading and supporting major media?  Answer - I'm trying to figure it out.

Back to Bill.  Bill stated in an interview, "saving 10 teachers jobs is worth more than extending a human life 3 months."  Wow!  I wonder if he has been in the public schools lately.  Probably, because his social agenda confirms what is being taught there.  For example, in Wisconsin, the teacher's union is fighting to have Viagara covered in their health care plan at a cost of $700,000 a year to the taxpayer.  What a great debate for school kids to hear.  Ah, this writer has a solution.  Let's blame it on the oil spill and get the free taxpayer parent/teacher guide from HHS that tells us that all of our problems are a result of the oil spill.

At the Aspen Institute, Bill Gates said, "the U.S. must get medical costs under control and reexamine its funding priorities to prevent its education system from further erosion."  Wow again!  On the 4th of July, Chicago media interviewed young school aged kids on the meaning of our nation's birthday.  Almost 100% of the kids interviewed had no idea what the 4th of July celebrates.  Some thought it was freedom from slavery, and others knew it meant something but just didn't know what. The best answer I heard was that of a 7th grader who thought it celebrated the invention of the fire cracker.

Bill Gates speaking at a packed house at the Benedict Music Tent at the Aspen Festival said, " the country has demonstrated an unwillingness to question if spending $1 million on the last three months of a person's life is a cost-effective direction, especially considering the same amount of money can keep 10 teachers employed."

Not content just to save teachers, Bill Gates in his "Kill Bill" mode goes after medical specialists.  Mr Gates believes that our medical system should be criticized for having 3 times as many specialists as general practitioners.  "That is uniquely American.  Germany has a 1 to 1 ratio of specialists to doctors and has created one of the highest quality and lowest cost health care system."  Pontificating further, Mr. Gates said, "in America numerous specialists take care of little pieces of things and there is no incentive to keep a person healthy with preventative care.  There's now some artificial thing where the sicker the patient is, the more money you make."  That deserves a third Wow!  I wonder if by preventative medicine,he means vaccinating the world against swine flu?  After all, Bill Gates believes in vaccines.  He's a major funder of worldwide vaccinations.  Not all of them have turned out so well for the person vaccinated.

Bill Gates is an elitist.  I'm sure he will seek out a cardiologist or urologist when age appropriate diseases occur.  I also think his family is well insured and will not be dependent on the government for their care.

A Wrinkle in Time

Once upon a time, the idea of euthanasia and assisted suicide were only theoretical. Then came the Roe v Wade decision in 1973. This decision has resulted in a multi-layered profound change in society. Our society used to be a culture of life, and the idea of killing by choice did not exist. Killing by choice was defined and recognized by everyone as murder pure and simple.

Illinois now has a Final Exit billboard in Hillside. What does this mean? It means self murder, as abortion, is now considered a choice in Illinois.  "My Life. My Death. My Choice." is boldly proclaimed on billboards paid for by the Final Exit Network (FEN).

Wanting to be a compassionate people, the euthanasia advocates recognized they needed a face-lift. They used to be called the Hemlock Society, a group founded by Derek Humphrey to promote the legalization of assisted suicide and euthanasia. Now, funded by elitist including George Soros, their name changed to Compassion and Choices, with the same agenda, but with unlimited money.

This is a metamorphosis from Kevorkian's death machine in the back of his van, and the efforts of Australian physician Philip Nitschke, who travels the world teaching people how to commit suicide with his concoctions, "the peaceful pill". Australian Dr. Nitschke even believes, the peaceful pill should be made available to anyone who wants to die, including "troubled teens". A troubled teen? Would that be someone who's been turned down for the prom? Or perhaps someone who has lost their best friend in an accident? How about if they've had a disagreement with their parents? Is this the trouble teen the Doctor is targeting? How about a clinic right in the school to guide the troubled teen to the choice ...

But a new wrinkle in time has dawned. The message that used to be delivered from a van, or a peaceful pill, has sophisticatedly entered the professional world. Well funded by elitist, with a promotion from well respected medical journals, the euthanasia movement has removed it's wrinkles.

Illinois has a FEN billboard, as we've previously mentioned; because all social engineering is preceded by verbal engineering. The statements of the billboards are smoothing out the wrinkles of the euthanasia movement, in a highly emotional yet professional way. The message "My Life. My Death. My Choice" advertises and promotes a person's right to have total control of their life and their death, with a very subliminal yet overt message.  What a humanistic statement. But then, perhaps our country has already become humanistic in its' thinking.

Just as abortion on demand was framed by the word choice, so too,  the euthanasia movement presents a clear and present danger, by also framing its' issue on choice. Illinois may be faced shortly with a legislative choice. Let's wait and see.

Can I Live

Powerful video from Nick Cannon:

Marriage As We Know It May No Longer Be

On August 4th, Chief Judge Vaughn Walker of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, declared Proposition 8 had no "rational basis" in a 138 page ruling. Walker struck down the amendment, which states, "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California," on the basis that it violated the equal protection and due process clauses of the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Judge Walker, who is himself an active homosexual, has faced criticism that he may be biased on his view of marriage, even though he has not had a history of a proven biased in homosexual issues. Judge Walker sided with the U.S. Olympics Committee in their copyright infringement case against the "Gay Olympics." However, this decision was not as personal as the legal status of same-sex relationships, which the judge reportedly asserted, were given second class status by Proposition 8.

Judge Walker, in explaining his decision to dismiss the amendment that marriage between a man and a woman is the only valid recognized marriage in California, said, "It's restriction of marriage to homosexual couples was nothing more than an artifact of a foregone notion, that men and women fulfill different roles in civic life." He also added, that it seemed to him proponents of Proponents 8 were defending the amendment on the basis of "moral disapproval." Which, he said, "Is an improper basis to deny rights to Gay men and Lesbians," and enacted in law, "a private moral view that same-sex couples are inferior to opposite-sex couples." He went on to say, "Homosexuals have suffered social and legal disadvantages from stereotypes and misinformation."

Wow! I always thought men and women were biologically different. Each fulfilling a distinct, but very different role, for the continuation of the species. This ruling will be appealed to the 9th Circuit Court and then to the Supreme Court, where Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor are waiting.

The 9th Circuit Court is known for its' liberal decisions. The fact that Judge Walker does not want his ruling enforced, but is waiting for a decision on the appeal to the 9th Circuit, speaks volumes. For many of us  we remember the 1973 Roe v Wade Decision, which overturned 42 state's protective laws for the unborn. If appealed to the Supreme Court, this decision would be the Roe v Wade for marriage.

What is a Bubble or A Bubble Worth Bursting?

Have you ever contemplated, what is a bubble? In the Wizard of Oz, the "good witch Glinda" descended in a bubble. Kids blow bubbles. And for those of you who remember, Lawrence Welk had the ultimate bubble machine, surrounding his orchestra with a cloud of bubbles. Bubbles LaRou has her place in history as well.

Mayor Daley has now entered the Bubble Age. The city of Chicago passed an ordinance last year, creating a "bubble zone".  The Bubble Zone ordinance prohibits approaching within 8 ft. of a person, without consent, "for the purpose of passing a leaflet or hand-bill to, displaying to, or engaging in oral protest, education or counseling."

National media attention focused on Chicago, when Joseph Holland a Northwestern University graduate student, was arrested outside of Planned Parenthood's near North Side facility on July 3rd after the faculty staff called the police and claimed he violated the ordinance by praying on the public sidewalk.

The Thomas More Society entered the case, not in a bubble, but with sound legal expertise. They announced that the city of Chicago has dismissed the false and baseless charges against Joe Holland. Peter Breen, the Thomas More executive director and legal counsel, stated, "The First Amendment protects prayer on a public sidewalk in Chicago, the same as in every other city in the country. We hope the city will cease the suppression of pro-life speech under the "bubble zone" ordinance, and dismiss this case and the case brought against David Avignone, who was also arrested a few days after Joe.

The Thomas More society secured a dismissal of all charges against the 1st arrestee, under the city's "bubble zone" ordinance for Joseph Holland. David Avignone's appearance in court will be August 30th.

Bubble's are either burst or penetrated. In the case of Chicago's "bubble zone", the pro-abortion agenda was penetrated with the light of sound legal expertise. This national case has shed a lot of light on the abortion protection that the city of Chicago mandated around abortion clinics. The ultimate goal would be to burst the "bubble zone."

Eugenics Then and Now

A new exhibit is opening at the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center in Skokie, Illinois. The name of the exhibit is "Deadly Medicine: Creating The Master Race".  What comes to mind immediately is the Nazi eugenics program. But on further thought, our own eugenic history comes to mind as well.

The exhibit takes visitors on a chronological journey, from the origins of the eugenic movement, to how that theory was used to foster racism and discrimination and eventually torture and murder.

Long before the Nazi Holocaust, in the United States Margaret Sanger was laying the groundwork for a eugenics movement that ultimately became Planned Parenthood. In fact, the influence of Margaret Sanger's International Planned Parenthood Federation on our world, is so complete, that its' slogans and values are dominating moral standards throughout the world today.

Ms. Sanger's rational for limiting the number of children for the poorer classes of people is pure eugenics. She would have liked to require parents to apply for licenses to have babies, in order to control the number of children they might have. She also advocated sterilization for the poor.

Unlike Adolf Hitler's violent approach through the death camps, Margaret Sanger successfully encouraged, what she would call, peaceful and sanitary methods of racial purification. She advocated payment for the privilege of sterilization. She devoted her entire life to what she called her "cause", the international birth control movement. She fought Christian traditions in her successful effort that struck down laws forbidding the distribution of contraceptive devices and information. As we all know contraception led to abortion.

In 1942 Margaret founded Planned Parenthood of America and established the Margaret Sanger Research Bureau, which financed the development of the Pill. She also financed and engineered the immigration of Germany's Dr. Ernst Graefenberg, one of the pioneers of the IUD (intrauterine device).

Margaret Sanger's theory of racial superiority was that social economic situations in life are determined by one thing; man's inherent ability to survive. This ability has a wide spectrum, ranging from the very fit to the absolutely unfit, to survive.  In 1936 Margaret Sanger participated in the round table discussions of the American Eugenics Society.

Now back to our new exhibit. Susan Bachrach is the curator for the exhibit in Skokie. She said, "It was very surprising to me, to see how much widespread support there was for this idea of eugenics. Today we like to say eugenics was some kind of pseudo-science. But we shouldn't say that, when looking at it in the context of time. It's very important to realize that this wasn't just something on the fringes. It was taken seriously". She continues, "When it comes to eugenics there's a huge whitewash that continues to go on. The United States was very strong in the eugenics movement, and that can be seen in state sterilization laws".

Just as Margaret Sanger extolled the principles of eugenics in America, so too in Germany, Karl Vinding and Alfred Hoche wrote, "Authorization of the Destruction of Life not Worthy of Life, a book defending the principles of eugenics".

In 1938 Joseph Goebbels said, "Our starting point is not the individual, and we do not subscribe to the view that one should feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty or clothe the naked. Our objectives are entirely different. We must have a healthy people in order to prevail in the world." Germany's involvement with eugenics begins after World War I. Margaret Sanger was born in 1883 and died in 1966. Her influence has left a world-wide footprint, which does not lessen the footprint that Nazi Germany left on the world. Together, they've enshrined the principles of eugenics world-wide.
