Clinitons and Abortion

Chelsea Clinton on abortion: Like mother, like daughter

Though a heavy favorite to do very well in today’s New York presidential primary, pro-abortion Hillary Clinton has thrown, and is throwing, everything in but the kitchen sink.
That includes surrogate Chelsea Clinton, who was in Poughkeepsie Sunday to address about 100 people who filled the Civil Service Employee union’s office. As get out the vote rallies go, it was pretty good, at least according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
The daughter of President and Mrs. Clinton, Chelsea channeled the latest iteration of her mother’s ever-more-extreme position on abortion. She told the group, “A woman’s right to chose is at the core of our human rights and what should be equity in our country.”
You may recall at the last debate–a knock-down, drag-out brawl with fellow pro-abortionist Democratic Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders– Mrs. Clinton pivoted from a question about a replacement for the late Justice Antonin Scalia to light into the cable networks for supposedly not asking about “reproductive health” enough.
“We’ve not had one question [in the previous eight debates] about a woman’s right to make her own decisions about reproductive health care, not one question,” she growled. (In fact, she and Sanders had both been asked in a Town Hall setting.}
“And in the meantime we have states, governors doing everything they can to restrict women’s rights,” Clinton went on. “We have a presidential candidate by the name of Donald Trump saying that women should be punished and we are never asked about this.”
Warming to the task, Clinton added, “It goes to the heart of who we are as women, our rights, our autonomy, our ability to make our own decisions, and we need to be talking about that and defending Planned Parenthood from these outrageous attacks.”
Really? If we were able to pin her down, would the former Secretary of State find any limitation–no matter how moderate, how commonsensical, how in tune with public opinion–acceptable?
Of course not. “The heart of who we are as women” means no parental involvement in a minor daughter’s abortion decision-making, no pause for reflection before a woman is sped through the abortion assembly line, no limitation on using your tax dollars to pay for abortions, no informed consent whatsoever.
“Our ability to make our own decisions” means deciding to obliterate pain-capable unborn children, or allowing abortionists to invade the mother’s womb with a variety of sharp-edged metal clamps and tools, yanking off parts of the child and pulling them out, piece by piece, until the child bleeds to death.
And “Defending Planned Parenthood from these outrageous attacks” means giving a pass to the conglomerate that fattens its bottom line by killing nearly a third of all the babies lost annually to abortion.
Alas, like mother, like daughter.
