Democrats ignore fifth video, defend Planned Parenthood

Three more prominent Democrat officeholders have spoken out in defense of Planned Parenthood against charges that the organization should lose federal funding in the wake of undercover videos revealing its fetal organ harvesting practices.
In a re-election email, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo promised to “fight for [the abortion giant] day in and day out […] Here in New York, we will not defund Planned Parenthood – not now and not in the future,” because the “healthcare of American women and families cannot be used as a bargaining chip.”

Senator Barbara Boxer of California told MSNBC’s José Díaz-Balart that the push to defund Planned Parenthood is “not about abortion,” but a “war on women’s health,” claiming the undercover videos by the Center for Medical Progress have been “discredited” – despite admitting she has only watched one of them.
And Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren bitterly attacked her Republican colleagues on the Senate floor, accusing them of working “to take away a woman’s right to control her own body and access to medical care she may need” and sarcastically asking, “Did you fall down, hit your head, and think you woke up in the 1950s? […] Because I simply cannot believe that in the year 2015, the United States Senate would be spending its time trying to defund women’s health-care centers.”
Cuomo and Warren are considered possible presidential candidates in some progressive circles. The fifth video, released yesterday, shows Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast personnel discussing how they can “obtain intact fetal cadavers” by illegally altering their abortion methods and rummaging through a tray of limbs and organs from aborted babies.
