Infanticide

The real Planned Parenthood: The ideology behind the talking pointseveral days ago, Live Action reported here on Planned Parenthood’s opposition to Florida’s “Infants Born Alive Act,” which prevents abortion doctors from killing babies outside of the womb.  Consider the following exchange between a statesman and the representative from Planned Parenthood:

Florida Statesman:  It’s just really hard for me to ask you this question because I’m almost in disbelief.  If a baby is born on a table as a result of a blotched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child who is struggling for life?
Planned Parenthood:  We believe that any decision that’s made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician.
A few moments later, the question was repeated by another statesman, and the same answer was given:
Florida Statesman:  You stated that a baby born on a table as a result of a blotched abortion – that that decision should be left to the doctor and the family.  Is that what you are saying?
Planned Parenthood:  That decision should be between the patient and the healthcare provider.
This is an incredibly significant statement for understanding the ideology which energizes Planned Parenthood.
In discourse with the public, Planned Parenthood routinely offers the following justifications for the violence of abortion:
  • Abortion is necessary for the health of the mother.  Making abortion illegal would be dangerous for women.
  • Abortion laws violate a woman’s bodily autonomy.  The state should never tell a woman what to do with her body.
We have all seen various forms of these two arguments plastered on bumper stickers, picket signs, and t-shirts.  But this exchange in the Florida legislature reveals that for Planned Parenthood, these two arguments are truly insignificant.  They are merely distractions intended to confuse the public, for when the baby is on the table, writhing and struggling, neither of these arguments are applicable.
  • Once the baby is outside of the mother, no one can possibly claim that sticking scissors into the baby or tossing her into a trashcan will promote the health of the mother.
  • Once the baby is outside of the mother, no one can possibly claim that caring for the child will violate the mother’s bodily autonomy.
And yet Planned Parenthood maintains that, even when the baby is on the table, the mother should still have the option to kill her.
The real motivation behind Planned Parenthood’s fanatical insistence on the legalization of abortion before, during, and after birth is therefore neither the health nor the bodily autonomy of the mother.  The real motivation goes much deeper.  Planned Parenthood denies the notion of moral authority.  They are utterly committed to the ideology of absolute personal freedom, particularly in regards to sex.
The banner across the Facebook page of Florida’s Planned Parenthood reads:  “We Care.  Deeply.  With Respect.  Without Judgment.”
Without judgment.  Those two words summarize Planned Parenthood’s entire philosophy.

This has been demonstrated time and time again in the under cover videos released by Live Action.  Click here to watch non-judgmental Planned Parenthood counselors cover up the statutory rape of young girls.  Click here to watch non-judgmental Planned Parenthood counselors help women procure gender-specific abortions.  Click here to watch non-judgmental Planned Parenthood counselors help a pimp arrange abortions for his 14-year-old prostitutes.
According to Planned Parenthood, you can do whatever you want to do.  Whether it is raping a minor or slicing up an infant on the table, Planned Parenthood will not judge you.
Perhaps our tax dollars would be better spent elsewhere.
