Conscience or No Conscience in Medicine

Should doctors nurses and pharmacists, who are ethically opposed to killing people be forced to participate or lose their jobs? If Hippocrates separated the physician from healer and killer in 550 BC, should modern medicine blur the distinction? Do you believe that medicine and the law are two pillars that hold society together, which are bound intrinsically by faith? If one pillar fails, will society be torn asunder?
