The Clock is Ticking

“Every 11 hours,” NARAL, and Kermit Gosnell

I am a huge sports fan and as such I know all about slumps. Writing for a living I also am keenly aware of how you can step all over your own tongue. Put them together and you get today’s email blast from NARAL Pro-Choice America.

You know, the ones that oppose Pennsylvania’s ban on abortions after 24 weeks—the law that the jury found Kermit Gosnell guilty of violating 21 times. The organization whose President could pretend that she believed that “justice was served” when Gosnell was convicted for various “atrocities,” yet could not find space in her statement to mention the three babies murdered by Gosnell when he slit their spinal cords.

They don’t know it—given where they are coming from, how could they?—but every time they open their mouths or crank out another fundraising appeal they reveal what utter extremists they really are.
Anyway, today’s eblast is “Every 11 hours we move closer and closer to a world without the rights we’ve fought so hard to preserve. That’s because every 11 hours, another piece of anti-choice legislation is introduced somewhere in America.” Well…

Would that “anti-choice legislation” include measures to prevent another Kermit Gosnell? Would it include a requirement that abortion clinics NOT be given a heads-up before they are inspected?
Would that “anti-choice legislation” include a bill to require that infants born alive during an abortion be given care pending transportation to the nearest emergency medical facility for immediate treatment? Or would the thought of a couple of babies squeezing through the death trap raise your ire, as it did in Florida with Planned Parenthood?
Speaking of damage that can be inflicted in a short span of time, I wonder if (even for a moment) NARAL President Ilyse G. Hogue ever ponders what 1.2 MILLION abortions each year means?
That’s 32, 877 dead babies each and every day, 1,370 each and every hour, and 23 each and every minute. To borrow Hogue’s 11 hours reference, that’s over 15,000 thousand babies whose bodies have been shredded.

Or, to put it another way, in the time it takes of one of her supporters to read Ms. Hogue’s missive, one or two babies have been killed.
Hogue concludes: “Are you with us? Tick, tock, tick, tock …”

Agreed, the clock IS ticking. Time IS running out not just on the Kermit Gosnells of this world, but on all those who would turn this murderer’s barbarisms into a defense of unregulated abortion clinics.
Time is also running out on the schizophrenic thinking that allows abortionists to lethally rip the head from the torso of a huge baby inside the womb but to be put into prison when they behead a baby moments after she is born.
Tick, tock, tick, tock…
