[Friedman's Update] March 17, 2011

Just a few links due to how busy I've been the past couple of weeks:

Health Care:

Here are some more details on how the Federal Government is using our own tax dollars to sell us (or propagandize us) on ObamaCare. Um, defund?

Ever wonder about those little codes on your doctors bill? Can you imagine a more artificial way of running 16% of the economy? Wanna guess who profits from these codes?

This is an interesting article from the Heritage Foundation on the new limitations on Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Worth reading if you want to see a wonderful example of unintended consequences resulting from government action.

What a wonderful world it would be... if we had a real free market in health care.

Does everyone remember how the VA was put out there as being a model for health care reform? No one familiar with the VA really thought that was a good message. Here is one doctor's take.

A very good article on the evolution of modern medical ethics.

Electronic Medical Records are 100%, completely, totally, safe, trust us!

Miscellaneous:

Fascinating poll data on religion in the U.S.

Lots of oil right here in the U.S., folks.

A month old, but very much worth reading: A Letter From a Fearfully Afraid Muslim to a Jewish American Friend.

More Trainfoolery. (And, yes, after doing a google search, I am officially claiming credit for being the first person to use that term to describe the liberal addiction to train related boondoggles).
