Why would Cecile Richards remember aborted children?
Conservative website Twitchy spotlighted efforts by pro-lifers on Twitter to participate in the day of remembrance, who organized vigils, sent out prayers, and helped spread the world about taking the time to remember the aborted today. They also noticed the silence from the pro-abortion camp.
We checked with some of the larger players in the pro-abortion industry to see if they too might take a moment to remember the aborted. Even Planned Parenthood can’t object to a day of reflection, right? So far today, there’s been no acknowledgement of the National Remembrance from @ppact, @joanwalsh, @NARAL, @AIsForOrg, @SandraBernhard, @SandraFluke, @MarthaPlimpton or @LizzWinstead.They also noticed this tweet sent out by Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, fawning over a pair of shoes signed by Wendy Davis:
Would it be nice if Cecile Richards and her fellow abortion advocates took time out of their day to remember the unborn children they are responsible for killing? Maybe, but let’s be realistic. It’s never going to happen. Very few pro-aborts will acknowledge that they’re even taking a life through abortion. They insist that it’s just a clump of tissue or a blob of cells. They do everything they can to dehumanize the unborn or obfuscate the truth. The realities of embryology and development during pregnancy are stifled. They’re not about to take part in a day dedicated to remembering the lives lost from abortion. That would mean acknowledging the humanity of the unborn, and that’s not going to happen anytime soon — and especially not from the president of Planned Parenthood.
