Planned Parenthood’s gender insanity: where normal is the new abnormal
September 4, 2013 (STOPP)
- We’ve been so busy decrying the fact that Planned Parenthood is
trying to normalize the sexually abnormal for decades that we almost
missed the next “logical” step. Now, it is not normal to be—well,
normal.
“A cisgender person is someone whose gender matches up with the sex they were assigned at birth. Not ‘normal,’ just common.” And then an example is given, in case you are so dense you still don’t get it: “A person was born, the doctor declared them female, and in adulthood they identify as a woman.” I mean, how “not normal” can it get? A person declared female because of her female genitalia identifies as female as an adult. Whoa! So that’s why those people who send me e-mails intending to insult call me a “cisgender, misogynist, white male.” Well, at least they got the cisgender part right.
A July 22 post on Planned Parenthood of Columbia Willamette Facebook page says, “We love this Q&A!” It links to a BuzzFeed blog post entitled “Everything you always wanted to know about transgender people but were afraid to ask.” The self-described transgender 101 is a litany of memes to help us understand “transgender issues without coming off like a jerk.”
And right there is where I discovered that “cisgender” is an adjective that describes someone who claims the same gender as the “sex” they were “assigned” at birth.
Ahh, the ever-liquid gender. First of all, we are “assigned” a “sex” at birth. But wait, didn’t our genetic makeup actually dictate our gender at the moment of our creation? Never mind. Planned Parenthood—the organization that proclaims daily it presents only medically accurate information—has never let science get in its way.
The cisgender meme does not stand alone in its absurdity. Other notable entries on the blog that Planned Parenthood loves teach us more absurd things, like this one: Transgender is “a term for people whose gender identity is different from the sex they were assigned at birth. Transgender people don’t want to be, and aren’t pretending to be, men or women. Transgender people are men or women (or both or neither—we’ll get to that) and transition in order to better reflect that internal sense of who they are.”
To clarify that really scientific, coherent statement (sarcasm blaring!), we find the “genderqueer” meme. Genderqueer is “An umbrella term for anyone who identifies as a gender besides man or woman. What?!” The blog continues, “There are genders besides boy or girl? Well, yeah. In a world where your hair, eye and skin color can be any combination of things, not to mention body height and size, plus all the different ways people construct their identities with clothes, tattoos, and hair styles, is it really that weird to think gender contains more than two options? Girl.”
Okay, that really clarifies it for me. It is not weird to be multiple genders, or some different gender than male or female, or no gender. Neither is it normal to claim the gender reflected by your genitalia. This makes so much sense—in some schizophrenic universe.
And just as gender is fluid, so also are names. Yes, that’s right. We learn that a birth name is someone’s given name at birth. “A transgender person might change their name to better match their gender, rather than use their given name.” Then comes the “Protip.” “Don’t ask a trans person what their ‘real’ name is. Whatever they told you is their real name.”
Got that? Your legal name has no bearing in the world of fluid gender. It can change day by day, minute by minute, as your interior feeling about who or what you are changes.
Just a ridiculous bunch of memes on an LGBT blog, you say? I might go along with that, except that earlier this year I sat through the Oregon Adolescent Sexuality Conference, led by a state of Oregon employee. Planned Parenthood was on the steering committee. The entire conference was absolutely focused on such preposterous fluid gender nonsense day after day. In one breakout session I even learned that these types of definitions are being written into Oregon law. And Planned Parenthood plays an ever-present role in ensuring that normal becomes abnormal, while abnormal is “perfectly normal.”
I still have my “useful terminology list” from Brad Victor’s workshop where he revealed that these definitions are being written into Oregon law. Victor is retired now, but at the time of the conference he was a business-card-carrying employee of the state of Oregon. His title? Sexuality education specialist with the Oregon Department of Education.
A few standouts from the terminology list:
Assigned sex – sex recorded at birth, usually on the basis of external genitalia.
Gender binary – the assumption that there are only two genders (male and female) rather than multiple genders or gender fluidity.
Sexual orientation – means an individual’s actual or perceived heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality, or other romantic and/or sexual attraction.
Sexual intercourse –
(A) Vaginal sex (penis or finger inserted into vagina, or vagina to vagina)
(B) Oral sex (mouth to vagina or mouth to penis)
(C) Anal sex (penis or finger to anus)
These definitions are written into the Oregon Administrative Rule adopted by the Oregon State Board of Education January 25, 2013—the rule which Victor describes as having been adopted under the radar without discussion, after being grouped with other consent items. In his words: “It was on the docket as a consent item. Which they’ll pile a bunch of stuff together. We put it out for public comment. There was no public comment at all. And so we went for the consent items, and they said, ‘Everybody agree on the consent items?’ And they raised their hands. And bingo, boom! We’ve got the most progressive law in the nation here. So we pushed the envelope again.”
Teachers from schools receiving WISE grants in Oregon were required to attend this session, by the way, and are required to teach these definitions. WISE is an acronym for Working to Institutionalize Sex Education. WISE gets money from the Grove Foundation—whose money emanates from the Intel fortune—to push this garbage on our kids.
Everyone who attended the conference—including yours truly—got a
continuing education certificate from Portland State University Graduate
School of Social Work. That must mean I am now credentialed in some way
in the area of “Sexual Health and Social Justice.” Such deceptive
words.
In a world where killing innocent babies is considered normal, should we be surprised to learn that the envelope is being pushed daily—to extreme lengths—so that our children will drown in the satanic mire that says normal is abnormal and abnormal is perfectly normal?
My suggestion? Read Jim Sedlak’s book Parent Power!! Then dash to your nearest public school and find out what is being taught to your children in the realm of sexuality education. Next, follow the step-by-step instructions in Jim’s book to get Planned Parenthood out of the school! This is a battle for the hearts, minds, and souls of our children, and anything but immediate action is tantamount to throwing our children to the dogs—effectively setting them up for lives of sexual confusion, discord, and sin. I have seen many of the Oregon children who have been so misled by Planned Parenthood, and it was a heart-breaking sight. These young people need our prayers and our immediate action to redeem the wrong that has been heaped on them by the abortion giant.
