“No ministry is closer to God than that of which a child can’t protect themself. God has a heart for people who are unloved, unwanted…” This reminder of how the pro-life mission is God’s will and will be continuously blessed by Him was delivered by Chet McDoniel, inspirational pro-life speaker in last night’s general session, I’m not perfect, but I’m worth it. Chet’s message, his life story, is testament to why we do what we do in the pro-life movement, defending ALL life from the moment of conception to the point of natural death, regardless of the circumstances of that life.

As Chet so poignantly stated in his speech, “when you save a life, you save generations of life….when you share the truth in love, you save souls.” Forty years is forty years too many, and although we are well aware of the ramifications of the loss of 55 million lives lost, the beauty comes in recognizing that it in the midst of this great loss, there have been lives saved. And through those lives, lives like mine, like Chet’s, future generations to come, like his children, Hannah and Olivia, and my Olivia, have come into this world.
