| Pro-life Activists to Challenge Planned Parenthood Ban on the First Amendment in Washington, D.C. Activists to hold a prayer vigil on the public sidewalk that Planned Parenthood has fenced in and called "private property." Planned Parenthood has put up a fence around public property and threatened to arrest members of the pro-life community who attempt to pray and counsel on the public sidewalk and property. For years, people were allowed to pray, counsel and maintain a pro-life witness on the public property and sidewalk surrounding Planned Parenthood. The Christian Defense Coalition has applied for a permit to hold a prayer vigil on the public sidewalk leading to the entrance of Planned Parenthood. The date for that prayer vigil is, Tuesday, June 8 at 11:00 A.M. at Planned Parenthood 1108 16th Street NW in Washington, D.C. The activists would rather risk arrest than surrender their First Amendment rights and they want to make it clear they will not be bullied into silence. Sadly, the actions of Planned Parenthood show they have no respect for the law, the First Amendment or social justice. The activists are being represented by the American Center for Law and Justice.
